Emma-Jane Austen

Every book has a right time and place for it to be read. If you're not in that "time and place" zone, chances are that you might not be interested in the book, no matter how popular the book. Such was the case with me when i first read Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey (NA) for my class during graduation. Although, after having read NA and Pride and Prejudice (P&P) twice (neither of which garnered interest for me to keep reading Austen), I felt I should just drop Austen out of my TBR list. But I figured I might as well give her another shot (as I own all the copies of her books). And I'm glad I did, as Emma was a game changer. She is definitely a hoot, there have been a lot of laugh-out-loud moments in the book. I knew how the story was going to pan out but that did not discourage me to go along with Emma around the countryside. In my opinion, I would rate this book higher than P&P (don't ask me why).
